This means that doctors perform treatments up to 22 weeks of pregnancy. It is important that you think it through and that the choice is really yours. Take your time and talk to someone you can trust. If you are still not sure what to decide, you can get help and advice at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fiom.nl\/\">FIOM<\/a>. FIOM is a Dutch specialist (unbiased) organisation that can support you in making your choice. You may also be able to speak to your GP, a counsellor or social worker in your own country. For extensive information in your own language about sexuality and sex education, please visit the website of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zanzu.nl\/nl\/taalkeuze\">Zanzu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FAQ<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What can I do after unprotected sex or when something went wrong with the condom?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If this happened less than three days ago, you can buy the morning-after pill (Norlevo\u00ae) at the chemist\u2019s or pharmacy. You don\u2019t need a doctor\u2019s prescription. The morning-after pill does not offer 100% protection. If your period is more than one week late, take a pregnancy test. You can buy a pregnancy test at the chemist&#8217;s or pharmacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you had unsafe sex less than 5 days ago, you can also have a copper coil (IUD) fitted in your uterus. It prevents continuation of the pregnancy and prevents a new pregnancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I dread having the abortion. Can I share my experiences with someone?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you feel uncertain or find it hard to come to a decision, you can contact FIOM. FIOM is an organisation that offers help with unplanned pregnancy. For a location near you, please check their website at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/fiom.nl\/\">www.fiom.nl<\/a>. On the day of your treatment, prior to the abortion, you can have an extensive talk with one of our nurses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Are abortion costs covered by my health insurance?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No. If you work in the Netherlands and have a Dutch health insurance, you don\u2019t have to pay for the abortion.
